RATNIK infantry combat equipment was tested in SYRIA
Yuri BORISOV, deputy of Russian minister of defence has confirmed, that Russian armed forces have combat-tested the newest infantry combat equipment system “RATNIK”. In his interview to “Krasnaya Zvezda” newspaper, he had confirmed, that army ground forces have tested communication systems, reconnaissance, radio-electronic warfare systems and infantry combat equipment system “RATNIK”, including modern fire-arms. Russian forces also used cover of Russian aerospace forces.
“RATNIK” is being delivered to the airborne, ground and naval forces, since 2016. This year, the ministry of defence plans to buy 50 000 kits. If the army keeps current pace, all the designed forces will be equipped with infantry combat equipment system “RATNIK” by 2022.
