Recently, and exhibition of scientific and technical board of ROSGVARDYA, aimed at special equipment and weaponry took place in Moscow. Consortium INTRALL, involved in organisation and management of projects in automotive industry, with its director Anatolyi Deirikh, has introduced new light armoured attack vehicle.

New armoured buggy is based on ultra light attack vehicle “Eskadron”, whose development was requested by Russian airborne troops and military - industrial complex, on the forum of Russian defence ministry in 2016.

Highly mobile buggy “Eskadron” is designed for fast relocation of tactical assault units. At first, it will be delivered to reconnaissance and sabotage units of the Russian airborne troops. Buggy´s maximum speed is 150 km/h and its weight is less than 3 000 kg. Thanks to its construction, it can easily overcome unpaved roads. This vehicle can be air-dropped in usual way, just as any other equipment of airborne troops. Now, the “Eskadron” will receive complex of modern armament. The main weapon of the buggy should be 12,7 mm machine gun “Kord” and some “Kornet” ATGM. The main advantage of the technical solution used in this ultra-light attack vehicle is its new low-temperature hybrid power unit, which allows for covert and quiet movement on the closing approach to the target in any extreme conditions. Except for simplicity and reliability, “Eskadron” can be used as multifunctional platform for various equipment and weaponry. For the execution of life-threatening missions, INTRALL has installed one-seat armoured capsule on the chassis of “Eskadron”. This armoured and highly mobile vehicle can be also armed with rocket launching units. More precise technical data are currently not available.
